Reinaldo Ribeiro
Reinaldo Ribeiro turns his artistic needs within the contemporary context of living arts, passing through different artistic disciplines. He is from Rio de Janeiro and his adventure began at a very early age in different projects of theater and television in Brazil. He develops his career as a creator and performer between Tenerife / Madrid / Barcelona maintaining a close cultural relationship with of these three cities.
He co-founded the Lamajara Collective and co-director between 2013 and 2020.
As of 2020 he begins independently to manage his personal projects that travel between the fields of blackness, territory and identity. According to the artist himself "A space to perform subjectivity in search for a personal, political and poetic creation with an interest in an expanded scene, in practices and projects that activate the decolonial thought and gaze.”
During the years 2019/20120 he studied the Master in Scenic Practices and Visual Culture of the UCLM and the Reina Sofia Museum (Madrid).
He is currently in the creation and production of the stage work called Cap: II I'm not an influencer (Schwarzenegger exterminated my future) with premiere
scheduled for October 2022.
